Stockholm: home to the 24th Annual EAU Congress

The 24th Annual EAU Congress will, for the second time, be held in Stockholm from 17 to 21 March 2009. The Annual EAU Congress is the  largest congress in this discipline in the world. We expect approximately 10,000 delegates in Stockholm, most of whom will be urologists and urological scientists from around the world.
The congress venue will be the Stockholmsmässan - Stockholm International Fairs.

In recent years, the EAU has grown and developed into what is now: a leading and dynamic force in urology - the branch of surgery that focuses on the urinary tracts of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males. This dynamism and expertise are the hallmarks of a high calibre and carefully arranged, scientific state-of-the-art programme.

This year's programme has a new dimension with an additional congress day on Tuesday 17 March. This day, entitled 'Urology Beyond Europe' endeavours to intensify the collaboration between the EAU and major urological societies worldwide.

Press Centre

There is a separate Interview Room, where Meet-the-Expert sessions will be held, and a press conference room with similar opening hours. Staff at the EAU Press Centre will be happy to assist you with any queries.

Press conference room
Facilities are provided for industry press conferences in the press conference room (K11). Industry officials and their communications agents can obtain free registration for their press conference and for the time it is being built up and dismantled

EAU Press Conference
The EAU will host an official Press Conference on Wednesday, 18 March from 10:30 to 12:30 hours in the press conference room (K11). For the full programme, click here. Meet-the-Expert sessions

EAU TV
An exciting new initiative at the 24th Annual EAU Congress is EAU TV. We will bring together eminent experts in 7 fields: prostate cancer, bladder and testicular cancer, renal cell cancer, male LUTS and benign prostatic obstruction, robotics, urinary incontinence and andrology. These experts will be interviewed in separate sessions by Ms Ann Salter, a TV interviewer. This will undoubtedly result in interesting panel discussions. These discussions will be broadcasted on the EAU website (www.uroweb.org) and the Stockholm website (www.eaustockholm2009.org) immediately afterwards. You are invited to witness the discussions live.
